As a mom with two young boys, spring break travel essentials are key to a successful getaway. If you’re packing for a family vacation, here are a few of my favorite items from Amazon that can typically arrive on your front porch as fast as one day thanks to Amazon Prime.
I’ve had this charging station for three years and swear by it. I actually keep it in my work bag so it’s handy any time I need it. Instead of lugging around three separate cords and blocks, I only need this handy device to keep my phone, watch, and airpods charged. I’m all about multi-use items, and this one is a lifesaver.
I have TSA pre-check and while toiletries typically aren’t an issue in the security screening process, I recently traveled to Grand Cayman and they were VERY strict with their liquid policies for carry-on bags. This clear bag fit all my liquids in one convenient place and made it slightly less embarrassing to display all my personal items on the conveyor belt while going through security.
I’m a window seat kind of gal. I like staying out of everyone’s way and snapping pretty skyline pics. When I’m not people watching and trying to get the perfect picture, I’m sleeping. There’s no in between. This neck pillow keeps my neck stable and makes it possible, even comfortable, to sleep on the plane.
My boys are 7 and 9 and love having a travel neck pillow to bring on flights, too. We’ve got the panda and puppy pillows and it’s pure bliss on a long flight when both kids can sit quietly like mom.
I’m a sucker for any sort of organization hack. I started using packing cubes years ago and they’re how my family stays organized on trips. We each have our own colors (gray, orange, and green) which makes packing so easy. My boys know how much space they have to put all their vacation gear…so no more trying to fit a giant stuffed animal in their carryon bag. (You can thank me later.)
Snacks
No one likes a hangry traveler. Bring a handful of favorite snacks to make travel days easier. I swear by granola bars, beef sticks, baby and toddler food pouches, fruit snacks, and suckers (makes takeoff/landing easier on my kids' ears).
If you’ve got a spring break trip on the calendar, trust me: you’ll want these spring break travel essentials. If you’re traveling by plane, train, or automobile, these will save your sanity. Cheers to a fun-filled spring break!
